Labour rates in China has been increasing and will continue to rise. One way to counteract this is the investment of automation, not only to reduce labor but also to keep our quality consistent. Hi-P Xiamen plant has continuously worked along this direction, looking into what is possible and what makes sense to both customer and ourselves. In May-2014, we have successfully implemented automation for over-molding material loading by using a 6-axis robotic arm with a CCD system instead of manual process. This helps us to reduce our operation labor force and also increase our productivity in this process.
