Hi-P International Successfully Concludes Beach Clean-up Event on World Environment Day: Protecting the Blue, Embracing the Green
June 6, 2026，to mark World Environment Day, Hi-P International, in partnership with the Beijing Riverwatcher Foundation, successfully organized a "Beach Clean-up Action" charity event at Shanghai Binjiang Forest Park. A dedicated team of 32 Hi-P employees and their family members gathered along the riverbank, taking concrete actions to protect the ecological environment and contribute to building a beautiful home.
On the day of the event, wearing bright orange vests and equipped with trash pickers and eco-friendly bags, the volunteers thoroughly cleared litter along the riverside walkways, green belts, and wave-absorbing dikes. Working closely in well-coordinated teams, they left no corner untouched, embodying the true spirit of environmental responsibility through their hard work.
Through hours of dedicated effort, the volunteers collected a total of 20.24 kilograms of waste, picking up 751 individual items of litter. This included 372 plastic items, 194 foam products, and 71 pieces of mixed waste, contributing a cumulative total of 48 volunteer service hours. Seemingly insignificant debris can often take decades or even centuries to degrade once entered into the natural environment, causing long-term harm to the ecosystem. Every single bend to pick up trash was a shield for the environment, and every action taken was a solid commitment to a greener future.
Beyond the physical clean-up, the event featured interactive educational sessions, including waste classification challenges, degradation timeline science, and a marine litter field guide showcase. Through these hands-on experiences, volunteers gained a deeper understanding of the critical impact of marine debris on the ecosystem, further elevating their environmental awareness and sense of social responsibility.
