On the 21st of July 2023, Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policy and Member of Parliament for the East Coast GRC of Singapore, came to Hi-P Singapore for a plant tour with his entourage.

Mr. Heng Swee Keat, later, on the 27th of July wrote on his social media, stating that after the visit, he saw first handedly, how Mr. Yao and his team achieved success through their drive and steadfastness for innovation and investments in technology. Through meeting some of our fellow colleagues that have been with Hi-P for decades, he then commented on how they all took great pride in their work and are all very keen on mentoring younger workers. He also praised how Mr. Yao and his team are very entrepreneurial as Mr. Yao shared with him that they are looking ahead to chart an even better future. 

Finally, Mr Heng Swee Keat looks forward to Hi-P growing from strength to strength and deepening Singapore’s ecosystem in manufacturing.
